Creating mosaic pictures

During crossfading, after the last step of creating mosaic picture, the error message "Couldn't blend pictures." appears. What can I do?

This bug is fixed in version 5 of Foto-Mosaik-Edda. There you have to setup the crossfading factor before calculating the mosaic picture.
Please install the newest version of Foto-Mosaik-Edda.

Why is the quality of my created mosaic pictures not so good?

Foto-Mosaik-Edda needs, like any other mosaic software, a huge amount of pictures in the database. The more pictures existing in the database, the better the quality of the mosaic picture becomes.

In the mosaic options I can setup a tile aspect ratio of 4:3, 3:4 or 1:1. Can I create mosaic pictures with a custom aspect ration of the mosaic tiles (e.g. 2:3)?

In the freeware version of Foto-Mosaik-Edda, the tile format is a constant preset. If you need a custom format of the mosaic tiles, take a look to the commercial version.

During saving the calculated mosaic picture, some of the following error messages appear: "Error while saving picture", "The handle is invalid", "Für diesen Befehl ist nicht genügen Speicher verfügbar", "Resourcen ausgelastet" or "Nicht genügend Speicher verfügbar". What can I do?

Please make sure, that you are using the newest version of Foto-Mosaik-Edda.
The error message appears when the mosaic picture and its data are too big for the memory. Try to reduce the resolution of the mosaic picture, until it works. The mosaic picture should not have more than 75 MegaPixel of resolution.
It might help, if you are using "Bitmaps (*.bmp)" as file type of the mosaic picture.
